Dholera is moving closer to becoming an important semiconductor manufacturing hub in Gujarat. Tata Electronics now plans to develop a 363-acre vendor park near its upcoming semiconductor fabrication plant, creating space for a large network of suppliers and service providers.
The company shared details of the proposed development during SEMICON India 2026. According to Tata Electronics Senior Vice President for Strategy and Business Development, Utpal Shah, the semiconductor industry needs a strong supplier network located close to the main manufacturing facility.
A semiconductor fabrication plant depends on a continuous supply of specialised chemicals, industrial gases, equipment, spare parts, maintenance services and other critical resources. Keeping these suppliers nearby can help Tata Electronics respond quickly to maintenance and supply requirements and minimise potential production interruptions.
What Will the Dholera Vendor Park Include?
Tata Electronics plans to develop the vendor park in partnership with a Singapore-based developer. The proposed site is expected to provide plug-and-play infrastructure for companies that want to establish operations close to the semiconductor fab.

The company plans a 300 mm semiconductor fabrication facility with a proposed capacity of up to 50,000 wafers per month. The facility will target process technologies ranging from 28 nanometres to 110 nanometres and is expected to serve sectors such as automotive, communications and computing.
A large manufacturing project of this scale needs more than the main fab. It also requires a reliable ecosystem of suppliers, engineering companies, logistics providers and specialised service businesses.

Tata Electronics Announces More Semiconductor Partnerships
During SEMICON India 2026, Tata Electronics also announced several collaborations with international and Indian semiconductor organisations.
Nexperia will work with Tata Electronics on areas including wafer fabrication, assembly, testing and supply-chain development.
Fujifilm will collaborate on the localisation of critical semiconductor materials required for the Dholera facility.
Besi will support Tata Electronics in developing advanced semiconductor packaging capabilities at its facility in Jagiroad, Assam.
Tata Electronics will also work with the Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL) on chip design, process technologies and semiconductor talent development.
Together, these partnerships show how Tata Electronics is building capabilities across different parts of the semiconductor value chain.
Does 450 Suppliers Mean 450 New Factories?
Not necessarily.
Tata Electronics officials have clarified that the proposed network of around 450 suppliers does not mean 450 separate factories will come up in Dholera.
Different companies may choose different types of facilities depending on their business requirements. Some could establish manufacturing units, while others may operate:
