Stella Montis Flow Controller: Arc Raiders by U4GM

Chasing the Flow Controller in Arc Raiders? The Stella Montis upper lobby is your best bet. Check overlooked furniture, then search nearby areas and get out safely once you find it.

The Flow Controller hunt in Arc Raiders gets much easier once you stop treating Stella Montis like a single-room errand. From what I've seen, the best opening play is the upper lobby on Level 3, where the circular sofas and nearby floor space can hide the item in plain sight. Keep room in your pack, and use the ARC Raiders Items page as a quick reference before loading in, because this search often turns into a longer route than expected.

Start at the Stella Montis Lobby

Head for the Lobby and climb toward the upper section, with Level 3 as your first target. Check every circular sofa, the gaps beside the seats, and the floor around them before opening random containers. The Flow Controller is small enough to blend into the indoor clutter, so a slow camera sweep can beat a fast sprint through the room. Then search the containers near the Security Checkpoint. That area is close enough to keep your route compact, but exposed enough that another raider may have arrived first.

Use a Route, Not a Full-Map Sweep

Old advice often sends players straight to Medical Research or Assembly Workshops. Those areas still deserve a look, but they work better as backups after the lobby has been checked. My practical order is.

Enter Stella Montis and reach the upper Lobby.
Inspect the Level 3 circular sofas and the nearby floor.
Search the Security Checkpoint containers.
Move to the upper floor of Assembly Workshops.
Finish at Medical Research if the raid remains safe.

Lobby First, Backups Second

The table below shows how I'd judge each stop during a Flow Controller run. It isn't a promise of fixed loot; it's a way to decide how much time each location deserves before player pressure, ARC threats, or the extraction clock starts working against you.

The Mistake Most Players Make

A common error is checking only large loot containers, then leaving after thirty seconds. Furniture, corners, and low surfaces deserve attention here, especially around the sofas. I could be wrong but, based on how inconsistent the search feels from raid to raid, an empty lobby may mean the item was taken rather than that your route was wrong. If you arrive late, don't burn the entire match staring at one cleared room. Move through Assembly, inspect the upstairs section, and then decide if Medical Research is worth the extra exposure.

Pair It With Snap and Salvage

The Flow Controller is commonly tied to the Snap and Salvage quest on Stella Montis, which also asks you to handle a Magnetron and other map-specific tasks. Pack enough inventory space for those objectives before deployment. A smart run can include the rover photograph in the Sandbox, the documents near the Security Checkpoint, and the Flow Controller search in one circuit. Night Raids add visibility pressure, so a normal raid may be better while learning the building. Once the item is secured, stop chasing optional loot and pick the safest extraction route you can.

What to Do After a Miss

Don't read one empty run as proof that the Flow Controller is gone from Stella Montis. Another raider may have reached the lobby first, or the item may have appeared somewhere else in the route. Reset with a fresh raid rather than forcing a bad rotation through contested rooms. Cooperation can sometimes help if another player offers the item, but extraction still decides if the quest progress survives. For future runs, keep your loadout light, leave space for quest items, and consider cheap ARC Raiders BluePrints only after the Flow Controller route is already part of your normal Stella Montis routine.
