Position: Software Engineer, Observability Our firm seeks a competent and professional Software Engineer, Observability for a critical role in a high-performance environment. Role Responsibilities: Champion practices such as TDD, pair programming, and automated regression testing. Coordinate with DevOps, QA, and business teams to deliver on schedule and within scope. Drive the technical roadmap for assigned product domains in collaboration with product teams. Identify and proactively address technical debt through systematic refactoring. Establish and enforce coding standards, review guidelines, and engineering best practices. Support cloud infrastructure management across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Represent engineering in cross-functional planning sessions and stakeholder reviews. Conduct root-cause analysis on production incidents and implement scalable remediations. Education and Experience Requirements: Demonstrated proficiency with industry-standard tools, platforms, and methodologies. Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven, dynamic environment. Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams and matrix organisational structures. A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field; postgraduate qualifications are an added advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex challenges. Proficiency in one or more languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, Go, or equivalent.
