Position: 2021 Summer Internship - Distribution Engineering: Engineering Majors We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated 2021 Summer Internship - Distribution Engineering: Engineering Majors to join our dynamic and growing team. Key Responsibilities: Implement ERP and WMS solutions to improve operational visibility and efficiency. Oversee vendor selection, RFQ processes, contract negotiation, and supplier performance. Coordinate import/export documentation, customs clearance, and freight management. Ensure full compliance with DGFT guidelines, customs regulations, and trade laws. Monitor inventory levels, demand forecasting, and stock replenishment activities. Collaborate with production, sales, and finance to align supply with demand plans. Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to eliminate waste and improve supply chain performance. Develop and maintain supply chain risk mitigation and business continuity plans. Qualifications and Requirements: Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams and matrix organisational structures. Demonstrated proficiency with industry-standard tools, platforms, and methodologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English is essential. High degree of professionalism, integrity, and alignment with organisational values. A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field; postgraduate qualifications are an added advantage. Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven, dynamic environment. Experience with ERP, WMS, and supply chain analytics tools; Six Sigma certification is a plus.
