Position: Software Engineer (Frontend), Square Console We are currently recruiting a results-oriented Software Engineer (Frontend), Square Console to strengthen our high-performing team. Main Accountabilities: Identify and proactively address technical debt through systematic refactoring. Implement observability solutions including logging, tracing, and alerting for services. Support hiring, onboarding, and skills development of engineering team members. Coordinate with DevOps, QA, and business teams to deliver on schedule and within scope. Establish and enforce coding standards, review guidelines, and engineering best practices. Conduct root-cause analysis on production incidents and implement scalable remediations. Support cloud infrastructure management across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Represent engineering in cross-functional planning sessions and stakeholder reviews. Essential Skills and Experience: Superior writing and communication skills with experience preparing executive-level documents. Relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree aligned with the role's core responsibilities. Knowledge of applicable regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and compliance requirements. Strong project management capabilities with experience in agile or structured methodologies. Collaborative, proactive, and able to operate effectively with minimal supervision. Expertise in applying quantitative and qualitative methods to support evidence-based decisions. Proficiency in one or more languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, Go, or equivalent.
